LEAD PASTOR: AARON THOMPSON
Aaron and his wife Karla met in line for school pictures their Jr year at Lake Stevens High School. They've been married for 25 years and have four kids ages 18-24. Aaron graduated from Life Bible College (aka Life Pacific University) in 1992 and has been a Foursquare Pastor ever since.
Aaron and Karla have experienced firsthand the healing power of Jesus in their lives and their marriage as they have been intentional to receive healing in small groups, counseling, and personal Holy Spirit encounters. They envision leading a church where people don't hide their issues, but bring their pain into the healing power of Christ-centered relationships.
HOBBIES: On his day off you can find him cooking (usually something with curry, Thai, or Mexican spices), reading (history or classic literature), hiking a mountain trail, or exploring for more French bakeries in the Seattle Metro area.
FAVORITE BOOKS OF THE PAST 6 MONTHS: The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller, The Emotionally Healthy Leader by Peter Scazzero, All These Wonders: True Stories About Facing The Unknown
PODCASTS: I've listened to 40 Timothy Keller sermons in the past month, I also love the leadership podcasts from Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel, Steve Schell, Gateway Church, This American Life, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
WORSHIP SONGS: I've been stuck on Amanda Cook's album Brave New World for awhile. One line from the song Heroes just wrecks me - "You've taught me feet to dance upon disappointment."
FAVORITE HIKES - I love breathing in mountain air and recharging with Abba on my day off. For quick hikes I love Boardman Lake and Lake 22. For a little more work I love Mt Dickerman, Mt Pilchuck, and Perry Creek.
