My Favorite Bible Versus About Faith

Bible Vesus to Give Hope

What is this thing, this force, this energy, that allows people to overcome great obstacles and great adversities in their lives? What is this ability that gives people the drive to move forward and accomplish amazing things in their lives; that causes them to be “great” in this world? What is this force that sets people apart from victim to conqueror? I think this is the question a lot of us have, and a decision to make.

There is no question that fear is so prevalent in our world today! What does fear do? It cripples, it stops, it demeans, it oppresses, it overwhelms, to name a few. This is the negative force you must deal with day by day and sometimes hour by hour. What must you have to counteract this negative force?

For the Believer in Christ Jesus, the Word of God tells us that this force is called Faith; not just any faith and not just ordinary faith. This kind of Bible faith is faith that can move issues and obstacles, “mountains” and “giants”, out of your life and give you great strength, power and authority to live by. This force of faith allows you to be set apart from the negative and into the positive with amazing and lasting results.

Into the Supernatural

This force of faith immediately catapults you from the natural, ordinary realm into the supernatural, extraordinary realm; empowering, amazing, fulfilling, peaceful, steady, and reliant. Isn’t this what you want? Isn’t it time something began to change in your life for the better, to initiate peace into your mind, body, and soul?

Let’s start with what the definition of faith is: simply put it is believing, having hope to receive something you cannot see, feel, or touch, something you do not already have, something you cannot do for yourself, and something you cannot earn.

Read and Increase Your Faith...

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

*This is “now” faith, the faith you have at the minute you need it. You cannot muster up more; you just need enough faith to ask God and to dare to believe He will answer. God operates in the positive and not the negative so give Him a space in your heart to work. Faith requires action on your part.

Let’s look at a few more Bible verses on faith:

1. Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please Him (God), for whoever would

draw near (believe in) to God must first believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.”

*You must first believe in Him, become part of His family by inviting His Son Jesus into your life

Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

*You must first believe in God to receive His ear, His blessings, and His rewards into your life.

2. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved (redeemed, rescued from your

own understandings and goodness) through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

*Grace is the unearned and unmerited favor and compassion of God towards you, His unconditional goodwill towards you. You do not have all the answers. He does. He knows what you need before you do.

3. Romans 10:17 “So faith comes by hearing and hearing through the Word of God.”

*You cannot have faith in God and His plan for you if you do not know His Word. His Word is His love letters to you that reveal who His is, His character, what He stands for, what He will and will not do. Get into the habit of taking in the Word of God, reading and hearing teachings, knowing who He is and how much He really loves you. This builds faith.

*The more faithful you are the more faithful He is because you learn what to ask for and you understand how to ask and then receive.

4. Mark 11:22-24 “And Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, if

anyone says to this mountain (issue, disease, sickness, problem, lack, etc.), ‘Go throw yourself into the sea’, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it and it will be yours.”

*This is an absolute statement – there are no variables here.

*Dear Believer, it is already done for you! It is all about knowing what you have in Christ and learning how to appropriate it so that it bears great fruit in your life. Also note that you have to do something: you have to speak to the problem, you have to recognize what it is and tell it to go in Jesus’ name. So many get discouraged and give up way too soon because this is not understood and acted on. All you will ever need in this earthly life is totally completed on the Cross; you just need to reach out and take it and speak it into your life. *Words are powerful. Stop speaking the negative language of the devil and speak the language of God! Which kingdom do you belong to? Give God a positive place to work.

5. Luke 18:27 “But He (Jesus) said, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God.” *Faith says God can do anything and everything! He is not limited by anything. We are.

6. 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight (what we can see, feel, or touch; or

what we ‘feel’).”

*True and mature Believers in Christ are required to live by faith. Otherwise, none of God’s plans or assignments for your life are able to be accomplished. You are to ‘walk’ in faith. It is to be your lifestyle always – your new mindset, your new language in the Kingdom of God.

7. Luke 17:5 “The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

*Faith is the muscle of heaven and the only way it increases, gets stronger and fuller, is to

have challenges come into your life to push you to continue to believe, learning to use it, and to apply it on a daily bases. Do not fight against these challenges for they are God-

designed for you, to grow you up, to mature you in Him and in the faith. Do not always assume they are opposition from the devil - not necessarily. These challenges to your faith are often assignments to you from the Lord, to enable you to complete His plan for you, to stretch your faith. And even if they are from the enemy, immediately turn them over to God and overcome them through Him!

In closing:

Proverb 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight you paths.

Romans 8:28 “And we know (totally believe) that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

God Loves You

He loves you. He knows what is best. He has a plan. He has a purpose. You cannot work these things out yourself because you don’t know all the ins and outs. God has given every man on earth a measure of faith. There are those who do not believe in Christ Jesus who have greater faith than the Believer does! This should not be! Allow The Holy Spirit to teach you and to lead you so that you become a mature Believer, strong in faith and strong in His might, completing your assignments for Him, accomplishing great things for His kingdom, and overcoming the problems of life. Be an amazing, living testimony to the love and grace of your God. Dare to ask. Dare to step out. Dare to have great faith! Amen.
